Welcome to the Murray County Minnesota
Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) Web Site.

The ARES group provides emergency Amateur Radio "Ham" communications in times of emergencies, such as severe weather, disasters, and in case of normal communication disruptions.

We are trained and available to assist the county with emergency communications when requested by the Murray County Emergency Management Director or the Murray County Sheriff's Office.

Our new Repeater map is available for you to download. If you are traveling around and can communicate on the Slayton repeater, please send us an email stating where you were able to reach the repeater. We are interested in knowing the range and locations of of use.

We are looking for Amateur Radio operators that want to volunteer to assist the county when emergency communications is needed.  We encourage you to become a amateur radio license operator and volunteer in ARES!
