About Group

The Murray County Minnesota ARES group was started to provide assistance to the county for emergency communications using Amateur radio frequencies. The group was created by the Murray County Sheriff's office and they manage the 2M Repeater in Tracy, MN.

  •  Tracy Repeater (October 1, 2009)
     147.150 - Output, Tone is 141.3

  •  Our 2M Repeater is on the MNDOT tower south of Tracy, MN. with 120 watts of power.  The antenna is 330 feet high and should reach a long way for Southwest Minnesota. Current reports have been 50-60 miles out from the repeater.

  •  Our weekly ARES net starts each Wednesday at 8pm (CST).  We welcome all amateur radio operators that can reach our repeater.

  •  Our Goal:  To provide emergency communications to the county when requested and to Southwest Minnesota region.  We are highly trained radio communication volunteers that enjoy using Amateur Radio to help our local community and region.  We take ARES and our service to the county very seriously and always gain more knowledge through training and practice.
